Funga, the first company to establish commercial nature-based carbon removal projects powered by belowground fungal biodiversity restoration, was ready to raise awareness of its solution, having closed a $4M USD seed round. Funga bought Yulu onboard to communicate this important milestone in Funga’s company trajectory.

Yulu developed messaging for this new climate solution, along with a thoughtful communications strategy to leverage earned and shared media to celebrate this seed funding.
The Results & Impact
The one month project led to:
- The seed funding round breaking in TechCrunch, alongside a detailed interview about why Funga exists
- Eight interview/Q&A opportunities being secured, including Forbes and New Scientist
- 10+ original online stories, which syndicated widely
- A cohesive social media launch from Funga’s social media channels, as well as the investors in the seed round. The Techcrunch social media post had 27.5k views alone
