Yulu was challenged with building awareness around RAW Beauty Talks’ #LessIsMore campaign, and communicating the brand’s mandate to health, beauty and fashion press throughout Canada and the U.S.

 

The Solution

Yulu positioned RAW founder, Erin Treloar, as a thought-leader armed with the life experience to explain (first-hand) how photo shopped images in the media negatively impact young people. Yulu identified Eating Disorder Awareness Week as the ideal time to share Erin’s story with the press. Additionally, each time a celebrity posted a photo without make-up, Yulu would ensure RAW’s message was shared allowing Erin to have a voice in the conversation.

 

Result & Impact

Raw Beauty Talks and the #LessIsMore campaign garnered national coverage in both the U.S. and Canada, reaching an audience of over 44,696,122. The campaign was mentioned 46 times and gained 126 brand impressions. In three months, the petition generated 4,395 signatures. Erin also became a regular blogger contributor to The Huffington Post Canada.
