Good things come in threes! (And hopefully fours, fives and sixes). We’re excited to share that Yulu has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top Employers (2025) for the third year running.
Our amazing team is what makes us, so we couldn’t be more proud to be recognized as the kind of workplace where they can thrive.
Offering an exceptional place to work is part of what makes any organization an industry leader. When workers know that they can trust their employer to support them, especially during periods of uncertainty, it reduces anxiety and increases engagement. The team can show up as their best selves and produce impactful work. As an impact communications agency, this couldn’t be more important to us. That’s why we consider the Top Employer awards to be a litmus test on whether we’re continuing to grow as a dynamic and progressive employer.
This year, the judges were particularly impressed by our vacation allowance and maternity and parental top-up benefits. All employees start with four weeks of vacation, including additional time off between the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, and move to five weeks after three years. We also support all new parents with maternity and parental top-up for up to 26 weeks of their leave – and the option for them to phase in their return when they are ready to be back at work. Welcoming a new human into the world is an exciting and sometimes stressful time; we want to ensure our employees can enjoy precious moments with their little ones outside the hustle and bustle of work without financial strain.
This Canada’s Top Employers award follows our recognition as BC’s Top Employers just a few months ago.
As an agency that values continuous improvement, we are constantly challenging ourselves. Here are some key initiatives we implemented last year that were also factors in being recognized:
- Culture Week: Launched in 2023 to celebrate and strengthen our workplace culture.
- Salary Brackets Update: We ensure all employees earn, at minimum, a living wage for their region.
- Student Loan Payment Matching: Introduced as an alternative to our existing RRSP matching benefit for those prioritizing debt repayment.
- Remote Working: One of the flexible scheduling perks that Yulu offers is the ability for Yuluites to temporarily work from different time zones for up to 30 days each calendar year.
