Magazine’s “25 Most Audacious Companies” list.
Yulu joins World Housing to launch the world’s first one-for-one real estate gifting model – visiting Cambodia to meet some of the NGO partners that helped make it possible. To date, WH has housed more than 4,000 people across seven countries.
Yulu becomes the first PR firm to earn B Corporation certification, reinforcing our standing commitment and mandate to use business as a force for good. And plays a small hand in B Corp’s fight to repeal the HB2 “bathroom bill” in North Carolina.
Yulu collaborates with values-aligned communicators to create an evolution of PR called Impact Relations, a communications discipline aimed to leverage the tools of communications to influence positive social and environmental change. Red Bull North America engages Yulu to develop the PR program for the Red Bull Amaphiko Academy, a platform designed to lift up grassroots social entrepreneurs who were creating innovative solutions for issues impacting their communities.
Carbon Engineering and Yulu join forces to announce a scientific breakthrough – CE’s scalable and cost-effective solution for removing CO2 from the atmosphere – securing 150 media stories on the first day of launch, with more than 400 hits in the first month. Turns out, when you make fuel from thin air, it’s global news!

Yulu becomes a Benefit Corp, supporting the effort to bring Benefit Corp legislation to Canada, and registers as one of the first 30 organizations nationally to legally commit to conducting its business in a responsible and sustainable way.
In the same year of our 10-year anniversary, Yulu adds UNICEF, Audible, and The Body Shop to its client portfolio, developing social purpose strategies, activism frameworks, and community development programs to leverage their individual platforms and influence to drive positive, systemic change.
