Presenting Yulu Impact Communications Benefit Report 2025

Dear Partners and Allies,

As we step into a new year, we’re reflecting with deep appreciation on the people and partnerships that made 2025 one of meaningful progress, despite a backdrop that has been challenging for many. If there’s one thing this year reaffirmed, it’s that impact work is at its strongest when it’s shared.

That’s why we’re proud to present Yulu’s 2025 Benefit Report.

Every year, this report serves as both a marker of our commitments as a registered Benefit Company and as a testament to what can be achieved through purpose-driven communications. It highlights the work of organizations that continue to shape a more just, sustainable future, and the collective momentum our industry is building to meet the moment.

Across cultural, economic, environmental, global, and industry impact, our team had the privilege of supporting initiatives that are shifting narratives, strengthening communities, and solving pressing global issues. This year’s report includes:

  • Cultural Benefit: Five years of the Audible Indigenous Writers’ Circle, now with 100+ emerging writers supported, alongside hosting its first-ever in-person gathering, an important milestone in advancing equity in storytelling.
  • Economic Development: Campaigns that accelerated ethical tourism and advanced community financing for affordable housing.
  • Environmental Impact: Strategic communications that amplified innovations in verified restoration, climate tech, conservation, and nature-based solutions, reaching global audiences and driving credibility for science-backed action. This was paired with advancing environmental justice (a long-dreamed-of focus area) through partnering with the Global Alliance of Green and Gender Action.
  • Global Relief: Storytelling that brought accountability to illicit e-waste markets, and deepened awareness of locally-led resilience efforts around the world.
  • Industry Benefit: A continued commitment to raising the bar for transparency and ethics in communications, from launching our Ethical AI Policy to contributing thought leadership at Web Summit, NYC Climate Week, and other influential stages.

None of this work would be possible without our team, whose dedication to impact storytelling continues to inspire us, and without you: our clients, collaborators, and community, who entrust us with missions that truly matter.

As we head into 2026, we’re leaning into optimism. Not the blind kind, but the intentional, strategic optimism that fuels progress. We look forward to another year of amplifying ideas that move industries, communities, and systems forward.

Here’s to purpose, partnership, and an even more impactful year ahead.

With gratitude,
The Yulu Team

Cultural Benefit: celebrating diverse cultural backgrounds and supporting practices related to promoting justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion

AUDIBLE

This year marked five years of the Audible Indigenous Writers’ Circle, an initiative strengthening cultural representation and advancing equity in storytelling. Since launch, the program has supported 101 emerging First Nations, Métis, and Inuit writers with more than 1,224 hours of mentorship, 70 workshops and firsthand learning experiences, 19+ published works or book deals signed by participants, and $145,500 in unrestricted funding. Together with Audible, we also introduced the program’s first in-person gathering in 2025, uniting participants, mentors, and community leadership in Vancouver. This milestone deepened creative connection and reinforced the program’s powerful role in nurturing Indigenous voices.
