Big things have been brewing at Yulu HQ this past month. We’ve expanded our creative services offering, bringing copywriting and art direction in-house (hey, Andrew and Dan!); we’ve welcomed three BCIT students into our quarters to assist us with the planning for Impact Relations; and we also had a major upgrade welcoming our new managing director, Clare Hamilton-Eddy (or CHE or Budge, as her friends and colleagues lovingly refer to her).
Clare’s going to oversee agency operations, grow and foster our team to new heights and bring her strategic mind (plus razor-sharp wit) to our accounts.
A little word from CHE on her approach to communications:
“I’ve been fortunate enough to have run some pretty fantastic global events and campaigns for forward-thinking brands over the years. What’s stood out to me are the connections I’ve made and collaborations I’ve enjoyed with team members, industry leaders and clients. That’s what really matters in our line of work. Results are obviously important but clients have to be able to really trust their consultants to make the best decisions for their company. It’s also essential that, as communications professionals, we ask the right questions and challenge the status quo when we need to. That leads us to providing clients with outstanding campaigns that have a true impact.”
With more than 14 years in the industry, Clare is experienced in both consumer campaigns and corporate communications. She has been on the board of directors for the B.C. chapter of the American Marketing Association, Women in Communications & Technology, and she currently sits on a University of British Columbia advisory committee for its digital curriculum. She also volunteers regularly at Ronald McDonald House.
