The Challenge

Yulu was engaged to create an online gathering space that showcases community-based projects led by Indigenous researchers and community partners and connects students, scholars, and communities to opportunities for learning, collaboration, and inspiration.

The Strategy

Yulu hosted key voice interviews with internal and external team members to better understand this unique research approach and how it benefits Indigenous communities. Originally it was called the Indigenous Community Based Research Hub: Yulu brainstormed with the team to land on the name “Indigenous Research Circle”. Following this process, Yulu also engaged Buffalo Hyde Creative, an Indigenous-owned design agency to create a brand story and logo that aligned with the messaging of sharing stories and knowledge across generations. The Impact

This collaboration resulted in an online space that prioritizes connection and elevates awareness of the importance and value of community-based research. The online hub  will also host ongoing research opportunities for students and community members to engage with in future.
