Bosa Development Corp. engages Yulu PR to garner attention to their Lynn Valley development, positioning it as a new community hub.
In December of 2014, Bosa Development Corporation recruited Yulu to bring attention to a future mixed-use real estate development in Lynn Valley. Yulu conceptualized a naming contest through which Bosa Development Corp. would look to the community for the potential name of the development. Yulu was tasked with creating a social media presence, engaging local businesses and community members, garnering media attention, and set a goal of receiving 50 contest submissions.
In order to build buzz around the ?Leave Your Legacy? naming contest, Yulu collaborated with a creative agency to give the contest website the right community feel and interviewed various community members on their memories and legacies of Lynn Valley to profile on the site. To catch the media?s attention, Yulu positioned the contest as a chance to leave a lasting legacy on the community of Lynn Valley, and a way to make an impact on the future of the community.
During the three-month campaign, Bosa Development?s contest was featured in Vancouver-based publications spanning across real estate and lifestyle. It was covered in outlets including New Condo Guide, New Home Guide, and a weekly series on local community blog LynnValleyLife.com. The success of the project also led to a TV interview on Shaw TV?s Go! West Coast. At the end of January upon the close of the contest period, 615 entries were submitted. The final name ?The Residences at Lynn Valley? was chosen based on the submissions received, and a Lynn Valley resident was awarded the $2500 grand prize in February 2015.
