They say Irish people have the gift of the gab, and in Nora’s case the stereotype rings true. So it’s only natural that she found her way into the wonderful world of communications.
After graduating from Trinity College Dublin with an Honors Degree in Political Science, Nora cut her teeth at two leading Irish PR firms, while moonlighting as a communications consultant in the tumultuous waters of Northern Ireland political affairs.
Despite advising a range of major clients such as Dell and Bank of Ireland, it was when working on significant public sector projects, as well as Bono’s ONE campaign, that Nora realized how much PR can be a force for good. Happily, joining the team at Yulu has allowed her to crystallize a passion for promoting stories that really matter.
A self-confessed news addict, Nora rarely has her finger off the pulse and makes sure she has the media relationships and the industry know-how that will help her clients get the results they need for the great work they do.
She may be a recent blow-in, but when she’s off the clock Nora loves immersing herself in all things Vancouver. She’s still in search of the perfect London Fog and continues to refine her credentials as a fried chicken aficionado. To counteract those (delicious) calories, she spends many weekends hiking beyond the North Shore, so glacier lakes are now her new favourite thing. Someday she might even work up the courage to jump in one.
