Charlotte Gilmour

Director of Client Services

Charlotte has ten years’ experience in public relations, having worked in Vancouver and London. Having spent her career agency-side, clients most often value Charlotte’s thoughtful counsel, strong project management skills and determination to get results.

Charlotte is best known for leading media relations, crisis communications, event management and internal communications. She’s proud to have represented international brands, including Orange UK, Glenfiddich, Corbis and Unilever’s Magnum and Heart brands, as well as organizations driven by social or environmental mandates, including Science World, The Nature Trust of British Columbia and the Alzheimer’s Society.

A career highlight was the launch of the world’s first mobile volunteering app, ‘Do Some Good’. Charlotte played a role from crowd-sourcing the uses of this new technology, through to the national media launch. An endorsement from the U.K. Prime Minister resulted in nationwide coverage.

Charlotte’s love of the outdoors prompted her move to Vancouver in 2011, and is the reason she sought to become a Yuluite. Joining Yulu marries her love of communications with her desire to protect the environment, allowing her to amplify impactful stories to spark meaningful change.

In terms of other roles, Charlotte has been a Board Director for the Canadian Public Relations Society in Vancouver and a Manager for Women in Leadership. In 2014, Charlotte was recognized as one of Canada’s top 30 under 30 PRs. Two of Charlotte’s internal communications campaigns won awards from PR Week and the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) respectively.

Outside of the office, Charlotte can be found on the North Van trails in her barefoot runners, riding (baby) waves on her surfboard, or exploring the wilderness with her two sons.
